SQL Database Engineer (Sydney or Melbourne Hybrid)

Working with the largest enterprises in Australia we are looking to transform and modernise their business functions to help them be more competitive on the global stage. Ongoing project demands require a full time SQL Database Engineer. You will be looking to understand the customer DB SQL server landscape and work with Internal stakeholders, Customer stakeholders and Project Managers to understand requirements and provide solutions accordingly

Hands on experience on Windows and SQL servers issues and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills:

• 8+ years as a Database Engineer with SQL
• Qlik experience - specializing in data visualization, dashboards and business intelligence products.
• Fivetran experience with the cloud-based platform to help move data and automate data integration for Real-time analytics, Database replication, AI workflows, and Cloud migrations.
• Snowflake - provided analytic solutions and data storage.

Secondary Skills:

• Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability
• On-Prem/Cloud upgrade of SQL Server from Legacy version to latest versions in Azure
• Good knowledge in T-SQL scripting & PowerShell script
• Good understanding of Database Performance using various tools
• Conforming to client compliances and expectations
• DBA migrations with either - SQL, Windows, Linux

Soft Skills:

• Good customer connects, Prepare solution presentations.
• Migration Planning preparations
• Ability to work well in a team, excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication and excellent analytical skills
