Job Description: Business Analyst – Financial Services

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ISO 20022 standards, financial regulations, and payment processing frameworks. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring projects meet compliance and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including workflows, use cases, and process models.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed.
• Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather insights and provide updates on project progress.
• Regulatory & Standards Compliance:
• Apply knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards to ensure compliance in financial and payment systems.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and payment processing rules, ensuring solutions align with industry standards.
• Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure projects adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Process Analysis & Improvement:
• Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency.
• Propose solutions that align with business goals and regulatory mandates.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Core Competencies:
• Proven experience in requirements gathering and producing high-quality documentation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 standards and their application in financial messaging.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and payment processing systems (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT, ACH).
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to analyze complex systems and processes to identify gaps and propose solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication & Collaboration:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payment schemes and formats such as SWIFT, RTGS, or SEPA.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Understanding of data mapping and migration in financial systems.
