Senior Engineer (Development)/ Senior Tech Lead Channels - For leading UAE bank

We are looking for a technology Lead with devops skillset responsible for managing the Development team. This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and their client-end (desktop and mobile) counterparts. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a member of the IT Infrastructure Systems team collaborating on our infrastructure as a coding initiative for our hybrid cloud infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.

Requirements

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • 10-12 years in development and DevOps
  • Expert in Core Java (8+), focusing on OOP, data structures, and algorithms
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills; adherence to coding standards
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (SQS, Lambda, SNS, API Gateway, DynamoDB) using AWS SDKs for Java and Python; familiar with AWS CDK
  • Extensive experience in microservices architecture using Spring Boot; proficiency in Spring Batch and Integration frameworks
  • Python development for AWS Lambda, demonstrating serverless architecture skills
  • Strong software architecture understanding; ability to contribute to Low-Level Design (LLD)
  • Mentorship of junior team members and code review responsibilities
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation; manage team and project delivery
  • Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Develop, test, and deploy CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications
  • Automate repetitive tasks with scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Collaborate with development and QA to integrate DevOps best practices
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot, and ensure availability and scalability
  • Develop automation tools to optimize cloud infrastructure and deployments; implement security best practices across cloud and CI/CD pipelines
