Data Scientist with Python

About the job

• Form: B2B contract
• Location: Remote from Poland/Spain

Key responsibilities:

The main task will be to support the development of a user-friendly platform for large-scale bioimage analysis, based on community-agreed open standards for image storage and visualization.

Qualifications:

Must have:

• Degree in relevant subjects, e.g. bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline.
• Strong skills in (scientific) Python and familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with software engineering tools and methods: Source control (GitHub / GitLab), CI/CD, containerization, software packaging.
• Strong experience in designing scalable solutions that leverage high performance computing or cloud environments
• Solid background in mathematics, exploratory data analysis and statistics methodology and tools

Ideally:

• Experience with the application of image processing methods on biological datasets, with an emphasis on microscopy.
• Experience in developing user-facing applications either with Python and/or web technologies (JS/HTML/CSS)
• Knowledge of deep-learning and classical machine learning methods
