Storage Automation and Testing Engineer

We are currently looking for a Storage Automation and Testing Engineer for one of our banking clients.

What you’ll do:

• Carry out tasks to certify, test and develop new features and platforms on our Block, File, Backup and Archive infrastructures.
• Develop automation to support the above requirements, covering support, install, provisioning, migration management/compliance
• Provide Enterprise Infrastructure, including platform services (UNIX and Linux servers, Windows and storage) for securely storing/analysing data as well as Developer Services which enable faster delivery of highly standardised platform services, for example, Virtualisation, ALM, Dev Engineering, Development and Cloud
• Ensure Service Quality Targets are met for offered platform services

Main requirements:

• Write development code, understand a DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline, and build automated test scripts (for infrastructure products and upgrades), and build automation interfaces between systems

• Required Automation languages: Ansible, Python, Jenkins CICD Pipeline, GitHub, APIs

• Required Testing Skills:

- Proficiency in Python Programming

- Strong experience with Selenium or relevant Automation tool (Cypress, Playwright).

- Hands on expertise in developing and maintaining automation frameworks from the scratch.

• Frameworks & Tools: Automation: Selenium, Webdriver, Pytest Framework, Robot Framework, API Automation (Requests Library).

• API Testing Tools: Postman, Insomnia, Swagger.

• Source code repository: Github for code repo management

• CI\CD Pipeline tools: Jenkins or Github actions, Ansible

• Bug Tracking: Tools like Jira

Nice haves – an experience of one or more of the below storage technologies:

Block Storage:

• Expertise in Server operating systems – Linux RHEL/Windows/VmWare
• Dell PowerMax/Vmax3/SRDF/XtremIO, Pure FlashArray, HPE Primera, Cirrus DMS
• End to end server mapping from server to storage
• Experience in using Python, Ansible, and Shell Scripting languages to implement storage automation and as-a-service offerings
• A deep technical understanding of Cloud and Storage Infrastructure

File Storage:

• OCUM-AIQ, Trellix AV, StorageX tool for data migration
• Experience in integrating patching workflows with NetApp OnCommand Unified

Manager and Active IQ

• Familiarity with Trellix AV, OCUM-AIQ, and StorageX

Object Storage:

• Any of programming languages: Ansible, Python, Golang , Strong knowledge of Jira, Scrum Agile
• Dell EMC ECS, Netapp StorageGRID, S3 Object Storage
• Optional: GCP / AWS

Data protection:

• Configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible
• Configuration management and orchestration using Puppet
• Experience in designing, developing, and testing Rest API services
• Strong technical background in Veritas NetBackup and related infrastructure
