Job Title: Research Scientist IV (Machine Learning Engineer/Scientist)

Location: Burlingame, CA

Duration: 9+ Months (Possibility of Extension or Full-Time Conversion)

Pay Rate: $85-90/hr on W2

Description:

Join *** Labs Research as an ML Engineer/Scientist for cutting-edge AI and augmented reality technologies. The role involves developing ML models for time-series sensor data, computer vision (CV), and working on software/hardware integration for gesture recognition and multimodal machine learning. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop real-time demos and conduct human-subjects research.

Responsibilities:

Develop ML and CV models for gesture recognition, hand pose estimation, object detection, etc.

Design and implement ML pipelines for dataset collection and algorithm experimentation.

Enable multimodal data collection and support wearable sensor systems.

Collaborate with teams to collect training datasets and develop interaction demos.

Report project status and deliver high-quality code with thorough documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in ML/CV model development.

2+ years of experience in ML pipelines and real-time deployment.

3+ years of Python coding experience.

Experience with physical sensing technologies (cameras, sensors, EMG, etc.).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Must-Have Skills:

2+ years of experience in ML/CV models.

2+ years of experience in ML pipelines.

3+ years of Python experience.
