iOS Developer

Our client is seeking a skilled iOS Developer to join their team for a 12-month project, focused on developing secure, enterprise-grade iOS applications for everyday banking.. The successful talent will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining native iOS applications using Swift, while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. This role is hybrid, based in Sydney, and requires a proven track record in mobile app development with a focus on robust security practices.

The ideal talent will have expertise in Swift and Xcode, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in CI/CD and testing automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mobile solutions that align with the client’s digital product strategies.

Key Activities:

• iOS App Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, secure iOS applications using Swift, focusing on performance, scalability, and security.
• Modern Development Practices: Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development practices, leveraging new features and tools in iOS development to improve app quality and user experience.
• RESTful Services Integration: Develop and implement RESTful API integrations, ensuring seamless communication between mobile applications and backend services.
• Source Control Management: Utilise advanced source control management techniques, including Git and Gitflow, to maintain code quality and collaboration standards.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement within the development team.
• CI/CD & Testing Automation: Implement CI/CD practices and apply testing automation strategies to support continuous integration, delivery, and high-quality product releases.

Your Background:

• iOS Development Expertise: Proven experience in developing enterprise-grade, native iOS applications using Swift, with a focus on security and robust functionality.
• Xcode Mastery: Advanced skills in using Xcode, with a strong commitment to staying current with the latest iOS development trends and tools.
• RESTful Services Knowledge: Solid understanding and experience in integrating RESTful services to enhance mobile application functionality.
• Source Control Management: Expertise in managing source control with Git and Gitflow, ensuring efficient version control and team collaboration.
• Agile Development Experience: Familiarity with Agile development practices and prior experience working within Agile teams.
• CI/CD and Testing Automation: Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and exposure to testing automation frameworks to streamline deployment and testing processes.

Preferred:

• Digital Banking or Financial Services Experience: Previous experience in digital banking or the financial services sector, with an understanding of industry-specific security and compliance requirements.
