Diversity and Inclusion Specialist (Cat. II)

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Diversity Mainstreaming in The Maritime Sector and is searching for key experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

Duration: The intended start date is March 2025 and the services shall be provided for a period of 12 months from this date.

Key Expert: Diversity and Inclusion Specialist (Cat. II):

☝️ Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Development Studies, Gender and/or Diversity Studies, Law, Political Sciences, Social Sciences or another related field (Minimum requirement).
  • A diploma related to gender or in the field of diversity and inclusion, will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English language (CEFR C1) (Minimum requirement)
  • Working knowledge of Dutch language will be considered an advantage.
  • Change management skill and experience will be considered a strong asset.

☝️ General professional experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, Project management, Policy development, Learning and Development and/or communications (Minimum requirement).

☝️ Specific professional experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience working with Diversity Equity and Inclusion in an international Human Resources context (Minimum requirement), with experience in developing diversity & inclusion programme management, including tasks such as: developing strategic objectives and implications for gender and diversity, assessing internal challenges and progress on achieving gender and diversity objectives, incorporating such analysis into a Gender & Diversity Policy, articulating and finalizing the policy with human resources staff; Create operational plans, goals and scorecards; Create and maintain resources and toolkits to support diversity and inclusion efforts; Estimate and secure necessary financial and nonfinancial resources; Monitor the progress of operational plans and achievement of gender & diversity goals; Serve as a resource for employees regarding gender and diversity issues, providing guidance and support as needed; Promote and support initiatives that enhance workplace culture and inclusivity, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience with exposure to gender, cultural sensitivity and diversity related to infrastructure programmes, including developing and implementing diversity and inclusion programmes, policies and/or training in international context (Minimum requirement).
  • Working experience with integration of diversity and inclusion in the transport sector in at least 2 projects (Minimum requirement).
  • Experience representing organizations at external events, conferences, and community meetings related to gender and diversity would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in the waterborne transport sector and/or within the EU will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience developing and strengthening relationships with external organizations and institutes for knowledge sharing will be considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the EU system including EU policies/legislation relevant to diversity and inclusion will be considered an advantage.
