We're looking for an experienced Kotlin Developer for a large media company in the Netherlands and Belgium, The team is working with wide technology stack - Java, React, Golang, Kotlin, AWS etc. The candidate needs to have Mid/Senior experience as a developer, be able to work smoothly with the team and individually, and know how to prioritize their work effectively.

Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Kotlin Developer for a large media company in the Netherlands and Belgium, The team is working with wide technology stack - Java, React, Golang, Kotlin, AWS etc. The candidate needs to have Mid/Senior experience as a developer, be able to work smoothly with the team and individually, and know how to prioritize their work effectively.
Responsibilities
- Making sure the systems, which are currently supporting the Dutch market, can also support the Belgian market with its different needs.
- You’ll be working with the newest techniques, like serverless and cloud based solutions. You’ll think about the possible solutions and realise these.
- Continuously develop and release new code to production within an Agile work environment.
- “You build it, you run it”; meaning you will take full responsibility as a team for delivering good working software and maintaining it.
- Continuously improve our services to make them more robust, scalable and reliable.
- Together with your peers, you define the software architecture of the services.
- Sharing knowledge within our group of backend developers and together making sure our platform evolves continuously.
- You are an independent, self-motivated and fast learning backend developer who has worked in various complex environments.
- You love to work in a team with colleagues who are passionate about delivering high quality products.
- Professional experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot (Mid/Senior Developer);
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments (such as SNS, SQS, API Gateway);
- Knowledge and skills in deployment using Infrastructure as Code (we use AWS CDK);
- Experience in development and design of RESTful services and APIs;
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and design;
- Used to working with modern, highly automated CI/CD processes and methods;
- Knowledge of English language at a minimum B2/C1 level.
- Experience with building highly secure and/or highly available systems;
- Experience with Akamai;
- AWS Certifications.
- Work model: Remote based in Poland (possibility to travel to Riga DC/Client location max once a quarter);
- Type of contract: B2B;
- Start: 1 - 1,5 month
- Rate: up to 175 PLN/h net + vat;
- Project length: 1 year + possibility of extension
- Access to local and international projects - Clients from France, Germany, Portugal, UK and Benelux.
