We are looking for a Data Scientist with hands-on experience in Generative AI, particularly with Large Language Models. Our ideal candidate would focus on exploration and exploitation of state-of-the-art models, together with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, BI Analysts and Software Engineers of a multicultural team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Understand the landscape of Generative AI and their potential business applications
  • Investigate and apply state-of-the-art Large Language Models to solve potential business problems
  • Collect, process relevant data sets and deliver proof of concepts
  • Take part in the development of prototypes and production services with other team members in a cross-functional agile team setup
  • Analyze and improve existing productive Generative AI services
  • Learn, grow and be an active member of our internal data science community by sharing best practices and success stories

Our requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or similar
  • Solid hands on experience with data analysis, visualization, storytelling and Python programming including corresponding data science/AI libraries
  • Knowledge of standard supervised learning methods (e.g. time series forecasting, regression or classification)
  • Proficient in NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, SpaCy, Hugging Face)
  • Experience with Large Language Models, Prompt Engineering and cloud-based API services for Generative AI
  • Passion to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies in the field of Generative AI
  • Clear and succinct verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice-to-have knowledge:

  • Experience with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or LLM fine-tuning
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure ML/AI services
  • Familiarity with Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark) and Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
  • Experience in implementing scientific methodologies
  • Knowledge of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) solutions
  • Background in Logistics
  • Willingness to publish articles and speak up in tech conferences
