About The Role

The IP Service Design group is responsible for crafting the architecture, detailed design, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge IP products and solutions. The focus is on building robust IP networks that cater to the needs of both consumer and mobile customers, ensuring seamless connectivity and superior performance.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will serve as the project lead, overseeing all technical aspects of IP network design, including scoping, design, testing, documentation, and ensuring seamless implementation in the production network.
• This role demands a deep understanding of firewall and routing/switching technologies, with the ability to meticulously document network and security designs and deploy configurations in a live environment.
• The candidate must be capable of independently generating solution designs and reviewing those created by others.
• Hands-on experience with configuring network devices, particularly Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Cisco routers, is essential. Familiarity with Juniper routers and mobile network technologies is highly desirable.
• The position may require occasional late-night troubleshooting and remote lab work.
  
  

Skills and Experience:

• This role is the pinnacle of engineering positions within the Mobile IP Design team, requiring the candidate to evolve into a subject matter expert.
• The candidate should be able to work independently, providing leadership to junior engineers, and seek guidance from management only when necessary.
• This position demands the ability to interface with various groups and manage contractors and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Additionally, the candidate should be capable of acting as the second-in-command when the manager is unavailable or on leave.
