Cyber Security Engineer

Our client is a fintech start-up that created a derivatives trading platform that uses the crypto currencies as their underlying instrument. The company raised around 8 million in their series A investment around 2 years ago and went life with the trading platform last year. They are scaling rapidly and increasing the trading volume daily.

The company is a small tight knit team, almost 20 people, with currently 1 dedicated security engineer. We are looking for one more security engineer to join the team. As a security engineer you will focus on 3 main things in your role: incident response/management, staying up to date with latest threats in the market, and preventive improvements of the application and platform security. You will research new solutions, deep dive in complex security bottle necks, improve code security, test the application and platform and enhance the overall security of the AWS based platform. Furthermore, you will work with a DevSecOps mindset, helping engineers around you adopt a security mindset as part of the development flow.

We are looking for an engineer who brings:

• 5-10 years of experience in Cloud and Web Application security.
• 3+ years working with security on AWS environments.
• Strong experience working with monitoring/observability of cloud.
• Strong experience working with API integration/security.
• Experience or strong interest in trading.
• On par with latest market updates in security (OWASP).

Salary: up to 120k

Location Amsterdam & Remote (50/50)
