Security Engineer

Looking for a Security engineer with strong focus on Linux – Hardware – Embedded.

This medtech organization created a product that is a groundbreaking autonomous medical device, currently running the first machines in production in hospitals. The medical industry is heavily regulated and autonomous medical procedures on humans must have zero fault margin. As the company is live with the product, excellence in operation and innovation (especially in the first years is utmost important). The complexity of the hardware and software for these types of devices is of the highest level, and so needs to be the security.

We are looking for a security engineer to join the team. The team is a mixture of different disciplines working in one cell on the maintenance and further development of the product. Different specialists in the team are responsible for sub domain, one being the security. There is a principal security engineer that is pushing the security strategy, the compliance and handles all the technical work. He needs help, especially on the hands-on part (technical security maintenance, improvements, automation). Since the product is a physical device, not only the software and integration with the cloud is important, but maybe more so the hardware including physical security.

We are looking for somebody with:

• 5-10 years of experience in software development, system engineering, security.
• 3+ years of experience specifically in security.
• Strong experience with Linux, C++, Python.
• Strong experience with networking technology.
• Experience with (medical) device security.
• Experience with both hardware and software security.
• Mentality of perfection, striving for excellence and contributing to a domain that matters.

Location: Utrecht, client sites, remote

Salary: base between 80k – 100k depending on seniority, plus package
