DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer ProfileExperience:• 5 years of experience in DevOps roles, with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure management.• Experience with complex enterprise environments, application administration, migrations, life cycle management.• Experience in working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.• Preferably experience in the financial sector.Skills and Knowledge:• Operating Systems:o Proficient in Linux (including Red Hat Enterprise Linux), with experience in system administration, shell scripting.• Cloud Platforms:o Experience with Azure DevOps, including setting up and managing Azure Pipelines for CI/CD.o Knowledge of cloud infrastructure management and deployment on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (Compute, Functions, Storage, AKS/EKS etc.)• Configuration Management and Automation:o Experience with git version controlo Skilled in using Ansible for configuration management and automation of infrastructure tasks.o Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and manage resources.• Containerization and Orchestration:o Proficient in Docker for containerization of applications and services.o Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications.• Security:o Experience with openssl, TLS certificate management.o Experience with Scanning tools like Sonarcube, Checkmarx, Nexus IQ and fixing vulnerabilities.• Middleware:o Preferrably some knowledge of application platforms like Jboss EAP.o Experience in working with common integration methods such as REST/JSON API’s (tools like curl/Postman/Insomnia), API-management platforms (Kong), IBM MQ etc.• Basic network skills:o DNS, Loadbalancing, firewall• Databases and Data Formats:o At least basic knowledge of SQL for database management and querying.o Familiarity with XML, JSON for data interchange and configuration files.Additional Skills:• Must be willing to learn, pragmatic can-do mentality.• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with development, QA, and operations teams.• Ability to write clear and concise documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
