Purpose:
Fleet Support & IOT Engineer is a specialized role in bridging the gap between Information Technology and Automotive Expertise. The Fleet Maintenance IT Engineer is not only responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of IT and Fleet management systems but also maintenance of next-generation technology and products used in portfolio of automotive vehicles and plant machinery, The Fleet Maintenance IT Engineer will also be supporting the delivery of automotive technical training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems that support the Academy's learning environment in coordination with ITC department.
- Monitor software and hardware installations, maintenance, and repair of traffic police systems including simulators, management record, theory system, etc.
- Coordinate with other IT professionals to integrate and maintain the IT infrastructure, supporting learning and teaching activities for end-users.
- Manage and optimize fleet management systems for real-time tracking, maintenance scheduling, and reporting.
- Implement related preventive maintenance for EV (Electric Vehicles) and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas ) vehicles systems.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect the integrity of automotive software and data.
- Develop custom software solutions to improve operations, App integration/development and Social Media content creation.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions for vehicle systems and subsystems.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate new automotive technologies.
- Develop and deliver training modules on automotive technologies and maintenance procedures.
- Facilitate on-the-job training sessions for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and promote the with external stakeholders, suppliers, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain an inventory of workshop tools and equipment.
- Implement IoT devices for tool tracking and maintenance alerts.
- Identify FMS data any trends within the Fleet.
- Update and maintain safety protocols in compliance with WSH procedures.
- Utilize project management software to prepare and allocate resources for upcoming maintenance tasks.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and blockchain into fleet operations.
- Monitor industry trends for continuous learning and professional development.
Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration and maintenance.
- Relevant certifications and practical experience in Automotive Engineering and Technology.
- Certified in cybersecurity measures for automotive software and data.
