As an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer, you will bring your technical expertise across AWS, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps and IaC to deliver the best solutions. You will Deliver comprehensive technical architecture and solution designs. Design and execute a migration of 30+ application modules on Amazon EC2 to Amazon ECS or EKS with AWS Fargate.
You will Develop and execute test plans, identifying and logging issues. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps that automate software builds, unit testing and deployment. Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation or Amazon CDK for automated provisioning and deployment.
You will Implement monitoring and alerting to cover performance, cost, capability, reliability, analysis of trends and environment optimisations. Implement new technologies within the AWS Cloud space to improve processes.
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated experience working with AWS including proven experience of migrating applications from EC2 workloads to ECS or EKS.
- Excellent knowledge of AWS Fargate (via ECS or EKS), ECR, Amazon MQ/ RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, Elastic Load Balancers, Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Amazon CDK) and Docker.
- Strong understanding of networking, security and monitoring in AWS such as VPCs, IAM, Security Groups, WAFs, CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Config.
- Strong scripting skills in TypeScript, Python and Bash.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps for building and managing secure CI / CD pipelines.
- Create and maintain detailed design documents.
- Develop and execute test plans, identifying and resolving issues.
Desired Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional)
- Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.Net) development background
- Knowledge of AWS Landing Zones
