Job Title: Functional Business Analyst (Insurance Domain)

Location: Sydney

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
• Functional Analysis: Map business processes, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements tailored to insurance operations (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy management, renewals).
• Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions aligned with business objectives and functional requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
• Testing & Validation: Support the QA team by creating test cases, validating test results, and ensuring solutions meet business expectations.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
• Training: Provide training and support to end users for new processes and systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Domain Expertise:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the insurance domain (Life, Health, P&C, or General Insurance).
• Strong understanding of insurance processes, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
• Business Analysis Skills:
• Proficient in requirement gathering, gap analysis, and functional documentation.
• Expertise in using tools like MS Visio, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
