Job Description
We are now looking for a Front End Engineer to join the Cloud Architecture team in Enterprise Campus Edge Solutions under Cloud and Networks Services at Nokia.
Our services are known as Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (dac.nokia.com), a global campus private wireless market leader. The enterprise market segment and our organization are growing, so you will join a team with good future opportunities. Nokia DAC consists of centralized and edge clouds. Our central cloud manages a large fleet of edge clouds on customer premises which extend fixed campus networks with 4G or 5G radio technology and by running applications on the same edge. Customers operate their networks using Nokia DAC cloud portals which are at the heart of the Nokia DAC brand.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a Front End Engineer in our team at NDAC, you will play a significant role in both the development and enhancement of our design system and the hands-on UI development for various applications. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a Front End Engineer in our team at NDAC, you will play a significant role in both the development and enhancement of our design system and the hands-on UI development for various applications. This role is a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration, where you'll contribute to the overall user interface design and implementation. As part of your team, you will:
- Collaborate in the development and maintenance of our local design system and tokenization, contributing to the theming and customization of UI components to ensure a consistent and engaging user experience across all products.
- Engage in the development of Angular modules and compound components, focusing on modular design and reusability.
- Participate actively in the UI development for applications, implementing user interfaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
- Work closely with other UI developers, UX designers, and other team members to understand user and business requirements and translate them into well-crafted UI solutions.
- Ensure that UI components and modules are scalable, maintainable, and effectively documented for ease of use and integration.
- Be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in UI development to continuously improve the quality and functionality of our products.
You have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Web Development, HCI, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in UI development, with a strong focus on Angular. Knowledge of React is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing and working within a design system.
- Proficient in modern web technologies and practices, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- An understanding of responsive design techniques and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an appreciation for great design.
- A collaborative mindset with good communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring high standards for usability and accessibility in all UI developments.
- Prior experience with mapping, diagramming, and charting UI solutions is counted as a plus.
