Cybersecurity Incident Response Lead

Are you an experienced cybersecurity professional ready to lead critical incident response operations in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Lead to oversee and drive our organization’s information and cybersecurity incident management. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping our incident response capabilities, ensuring effective collaboration among stakeholders and safeguarding our operations against emerging threats. The position is permanent and full-time.

As the Cybersecurity Incident Response Lead, you will be responsible for managing and improving the efficiency of our incident detection and response processes and capabilities.

You will lead cross-functional teams in addressing incidents and preparing for potential cyber threats, acting as the central coordinator for all stakeholders, including data protection, crisis management, and communications. You will work with technical teams to ensure modern detection capabilities are implemented, and that effective means for technical response are in place. This role requires a proactive approach to threat intelligence, scenario planning, and maintaining operational readiness through technical and leadership simulations and exercises.

You will also collaborate with procurement teams, external suppliers, and technical experts to implement cutting-edge solutions, ensuring the continuity, quality, and measurable success of services and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the success of information and cybersecurity incident detection and response management.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional collaboration among stakeholders, forming and directing virtual teams during incidents.
• Define and align incident response strategies with key stakeholders, such as data protection, crisis management, and communications.
• Maintain situational awareness and readiness by collecting threat intelligence, conducting scenario-based planning, and organizing technical and leadership simulations and exercises.
• Implement technical detection and response solutions in partnership with experts, vendors, and procurement, while managing vendor relationships and guiding their work.
• Set objectives for services and solutions, monitor progress, measure success, and ensure continuity and quality through regular reporting and oversight.
  
  

Qualifications

• A relevant higher education degree (university or university of applied sciences) or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in delivering cybersecurity services and solutions.
• Strong expertise in information and cybersecurity solutions.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.

The workplace is located at Veikkaus' head office in Helsinki, Pohjois-Haaga. Veikkaus prefers a flexible hybrid work model between a remote workplace and an office.
