Job Title: Software Engineer

Do you believe in innovation, agility and making an impact in a constantly changing industry? Are you interested in secure communication between different devices, cryptography, content protection mechanisms? Join Irdeto and make an impact in shaping the world of cyber security! As a  Software Engineer, you will work in our Digital Rights Management (DRM) domain to design, implement and validate our state-of-the-art DRM solution that is used by high-end customers. You will be exposed to various tools and technologies, such as Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Python, Angular, Kafka, Redis, Docker, K8s, AWS, Jenkins, JMeter, Taurus, Git... and various programming paradigms such as object-oriented, functional and reactive programming.

Your mission at Irdeto:

• Foster a professional engineering culture and help to grow our standards, by keeping your industry knowledge on software development up-to-date and spread that in the organization.
• Participate in the design, implementation and validation of complex front-end and back-end systems such as Digital Rights Management (DRM), with a focus on service performance and reliability.
• Develop, improve, maintain and document clean code, in an agile manner, as part of a Scrum Team.
• Contribute to the maintenance of development, testing and delivery tools and frameworks.
• Pair programming and code reviews of design and implementation
• Set an example in building a “customer first” attitude.
• Practice DevOps mindset, you build it, you run it.
• Challenge old habits, bring new ideas.
  
  

How you can add value to the team?

• Bachelor or master’s degree of Computer Science, or related technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of software development processes.
• Hands-on experience in Java or Kotlin.
• Good understanding of API design and usage.
• Experience working with Linux environment.
• Experience in scripting languages (such as Python) is a plus.
• Experience with Angular or ReactJs is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and what is required for a job.
• Highly organized, thorough, and motivated professional.
• Developed communication skills in English.
• Ability to negotiate mainly internally and often at higher levels.
