Our client is a prominent player in the IT infrastructure domain, focusing on implementing robust, scalable, and secure systems. You will be part of the Sapphire team, which is responsible for managing critical infrastructure solutions.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Grafana and Kubernetes Specialist to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge IT infrastructure systems. This is a 6-month B2B contract with the possibility of extension. The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and requires immediate availability or the ability to start by January 2025.

As part of the Sapphire team, you will leverage your expertise in Grafana and Kubernetes to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize complex infrastructure environments. You will collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure efficient operations and provide actionable insights through data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

Grafana Administration:

• Design, implement, and maintain Grafana dashboards for infrastructure and application performance monitoring.
• Optimize Grafana’s LGTM stack performance and troubleshoot data visualization issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key metrics and create actionable dashboards.

EKS Cluster Management:

• Manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS using EKS.
• Implement and oversee networking, storage, and security components for Kubernetes.

Monitoring and Alerting:

• Develop and maintain monitoring systems using Grafana, Prometheus, and related tools.
• Set up alerting mechanisms for proactive issue resolution.
• Analyze logs and metrics to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Automation and Scripting:

• Write and maintain automation scripts using Python or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform (Pulumi is a plus).
• Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to implement best practices in monitoring and operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support EKS clusters and monitoring infrastructure.

Preferred Skills:

• 8–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Grafana, including building complex dashboards.
• Expertise in Kubernetes management, especially AWS EKS.
• Experience with Python scripting and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Loki, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage in Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
