Information Technology Business Analyst

Adecco is seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst with expertise in Power BI to join our dynamic team based in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions. You will leverage Power BI to create insightful reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights to support decision-making and improve business processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting and analytics requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Define functional specifications for Power BI solutions, focusing on business needs rather than technical development.
• Work with technical teams to ensure accurate data integration, modeling, and visualization based on business requirements.
• Conduct user training, provide guidance on Power BI capabilities, and ensure solutions align with governance and compliance standards.
• Act as a bridge between business teams and technical developers, driving adoption and value realization from Power BI implementations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a functional or business-facing role with Power BI or similar analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into actionable reporting needs.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance best practices.

Must Have:

• Completed projects as a Consultant on Power BI related deliverables.
• Extensive experience with Jira project tool.
• Strong experience with Agile software development methodology.
• Practical experience with Scrum.

This role, however, demands a deeper understanding of reporting systems and solutions in a production-grade environment. At a minimum, a reporting functional consultant should possess:

• Grasp of how data is structured in data platforms.
• Knowledge of what to build at the data layer versus the reporting layer.
• Understanding of performance optimization concepts in production environments.
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and role-level security.
• A high-level, cross-functional domain understanding.
