Lead Software Engineer

Our client is an established player on the retail Apparel and Fashion market. As a Lead Back-End Engineer, you’ll play a key role in scaling and optimizing the ecommerce platform, directly impacting thousands of users and global brands.

Tech stack: NodeJS with some PHP (Symphony) legacy code in the process of being refactored. Microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka and DDD. And React on the Frontend.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

• Developing clean, high-quality, and efficient Node.js code.
• Leading backend development efforts for B2C platforms.
• Designing and implementing scalable, maintainable back-end services and APIs (GraphQL, REST).
• Setting up monitoring and proactively enhancing system performance.
• Designing, maintaining, and optimizing microservices.
• Working with message brokers like Kafka and Redis.
• Leveraging databases like DynamoDB and MySQL.
• Applying Domain-Driven Design principles to create clear, functional systems.
• Ensuring system reliability with comprehensive testing (unit, integration).
• Contributing to infrastructure design with Kubernetes.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years in back-end engineering, preferably in international startups or e-commerce.
• Expert knowledge of Node.js; Symfony (PHP) is a bonus.
• Proven experience with B2C platforms.
• Strong skills in scalable system design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, and diverse databases.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
