Security Operations Centre Specialist

This role will support the delivery of the largest Federal Government Contact Centre.

You will be required to work on a rotating roster 24x7, 365 days a year, with the opportunity to earn an additional salary for overnight and weekend shifts.

Your day in the life of a Security Operations Specialists at Optus

• Analyse complex cases involving a pattern of security events from SIEM, and other security data sources. Splunk experience is preferred.
• Develop and tune use cases, alerts, reports, custom dashboards and further enhancement
• Create, improve, and document processes for the management and monitoring of security solutions.
• Work with technical teams on log onboarding. Baseline and improve threat detection thresholds and improve detection methods.
• Configure, manage, and upgrade Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) platforms. Involve in the operational support of the environment to ensure platform availability.
  
  

Your Skills To Pay The Bills

• Advanced Knowledge and experience of SIEM (Splunk) Technologies (Logging, monitoring, Triage, reporting of Security alerts and Incidents, and processes) is a must.
• Hands on experience with the day-to-day security operations using various security technologies such as Tenable, Splunk, Symantec end point protection, Firepower IPS/IDS or similar technologies
• Experience as an Information Security Specialist, Analyst in Security operations especially in security monitoring and network security domains.
• You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible for Federal Government security clearance
