What You'll Do at Acai

Design & Scale: Architect and implement highly available distributed systems processing millions of requests per month. You'll work with event-driven architectures, caching strategies, and advanced performance optimization.
Build & Optimize: Develop efficient microservices handling 100K+ LLM calls monthly, with a focus on response time optimization and resource utilization. We use Golang with modern patterns and practices.
Monitor & Improve: Implement comprehensive observability using tools like Datadog, ensuring system health and performance through metrics, traces, and logs.
Own & Iterate: Take full ownership of services from development to production, using modern DevOps practices with Github Actions, Docker, and AWS ECS.

What We're Looking For

Distributed Systems Expert: Experience building and scaling microservices architectures, preferably processing 1M+ requests per month.
Performance Optimizer: Track record of improving system performance through caching strategies, query optimization, and efficient resource utilization.
Modern Stack Professional: Deep knowledge of Golang and experience with event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and caching systems (Redis).
Data Engineering Skills: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, data processing pipelines, and API integrations.
Observability Champion: Proven experience with monitoring tools and creating comprehensive observability solutions.
Experience: 3+ years of backend development, with at least 1 year of Golang in production.

Bonus Points For:

Event-Driven Architecture: Experience with event sourcing and CQRS patterns.
DevOps Practices: Experience with AWS services, particularly around serverless and container orchestration.
AI/ML Pipeline Experience: Background in building infrastructure for ML/LLM systems.

Location

We're a hands-on team that thrives on in-person collaboration. Our office is a dynamic, startup environment where we whiteboard and problem-solve together every day. We're currently only considering candidates based in Barcelona with legal work authorization. At this stage, we cannot provide visa support.

Compensation Range: €40K - €50K
