Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer, CISCO CCIE (or CCNP minimum) Juniper, BGP, Firewalls - Zurich, Switzerland

About the Role:

Our client, a rapidly growing network services company based in Zurich, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with network design, routing, switching, and security, and will bring expertise in managing large-scale networks for enterprise clients and service providers. This role offers exciting challenges in a collaborative environment, with opportunities to work on diverse projects for global customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage, maintain, and optimize backbone and access networks.

Lead network design, configuration, and project implementation.

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across daily operations.

Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support to internal teams.

Communicate with national and international partners and suppliers.

Ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience:

Certifications: CCNP minimum, CCIE preferred.

Experience: Strong background in Juniper and Cisco networking, with experience in large datacenters or service provider environments.

Technical Skills: Expertise in BGP, network security (Firewalls: Fortinet, WatchGuard), and OT (Operational Technology).

Languages: Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Availability: Willingness to be on-call 24/7.

Work Style: Independent, solution-oriented, and hands-on with a strong team player mentality.
