We are ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, a three-star hotel featuring 644 rooms, 4 F&B outlets, 5 meeting rooms, and most importantly, a dedicated team of 80 colleagues who ensure our guests have a fantastic experience every day!

We are currently looking for an Engineer to join our team and help us create an exceptional stay for our guests.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

As our new Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our hotel’s technical systems and infrastructure.

Working closely with your team, you’ll ensure any technical issues in guest rooms are resolved quickly and efficiently, maintaining our 644 rooms to the highest standard. Beyond room maintenance, you’ll be responsible for a variety of technical and engineering tasks, such as:

• Troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems.
• Managing and maintaining fire alarm systems, access control systems, and building management systems.
• Ensuring the functionality of elevators, escalators, and other key installations.
• Overseeing general facility operations and supporting upgrades or renovations.
  
  

This role offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. While each challenge is unique, you’ll have the support of a seasoned manager with over 30 years of engineering experience who is eager to share their expertise with you.

Qualifications

Who You Are

• You have at least 1–2 years of experience in a similar engineering or technical role.
• You are a creative problem solver, capable of quickly and efficiently addressing technical challenges.
• You are preferably fluent in both Dutch and English, ensuring effective communication with both guests and colleagues.
• You are a team player, working collaboratively with others across various departments.
• You are well-versed in safety regulations and procedures, prioritizing a safe working environment.
• You execute engineering and maintenance tasks with precision and professionalism.
