Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the cross-functional StreetLight team within Jacobs Poland, across the functions of Software Engineering, Data Science, Services and Support.
  • Interface with the StreetLight team in the US, Canada and India, understand and contribute to StreetLight strategy, and manage communication within the StreetLight Poland team
  • Hire for open positions, working with the Jacobs Poland Talent Acquisition team and corresponding functional leads in the US / Canada, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews and closing candidates.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports and ensure high morale
  • For the Software Engineering and Data Science team, facilitate the development of an independent Scrum team in Poland that will work effectively with Scrum teams in US, Canada, and India.
  • For Services and Support, ensure that team members are working effectively with their corresponding teams in US, Canada, and India.
  • Keep the StreetLight team integrated within the broader Jacobs Poland Global Development Center, through common initiatives and activities as may come up


Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline, Master of Science preferred
  • Broad experience in developing software products, preferably SaaS enterprise software, either as a software engineer or data scientist
  • Proven experience in managing small teams 5-10 people
  • Strong people skills, with ability to work with people of different backgrounds and styles
  • Strong process orientation, with ability to create new processes as well as improve existing processes for better productivity
  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Experience working in a multinational distributed organization is highly desirable
