Network Engineer

Overview

As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of our network infrastructure and associated software systems. You will participate in the formulation of com prehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of network-related software, protocols, a pplications etc. and ensuring robust Software Quality Engineering practices within the team. This position involves a blend of network engineering, software quality assurance, and technical support to maintain the stability and integrity of our SQA network environments. This position will collaborate with a skilled team of software, firmware, and hardware engineers in the development of our Q-SYS platform. Q-SYS stands as a rapidly advancing, award-winning software and hardware platform centered on cutting-edge audio, video, and control products. This role is situated in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+).
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience of a minimum of 3-5 years.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) and solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Strong knowledge in network security best practices.
• Proficiency in using network diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and articulate complex technical issues effectively.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Experience in qualifying audio systems, video systems, meeting room solutions, or network equipment is highly desirable.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for network tasks (e.g., Python) is highly desirable.
  
  

Qualifications

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated software systems.
• Analyze network performance data and troubleshoot issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and reliability.
• Develop and implement network/security-related software test cases and automated tests as part of the Q-SYS software development team.
• Take ownership of your lab infrastructure and assist in leading engineers on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and debug intricate software issues.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams in an effective and cooperative environment.
