This position reports to

R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

Simulate power electronic converters for a variety of power electronic applications

Designing, implementing, and testing converter prototypes in the lab

Lead and participate in power electronic converter design projects with full commitment

Interact and actively communicate with our business line partners


Qualifications For The Role

• PhD with specialization in power electronics converter design
• Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing prototype converters, demonstrating expertise in component placement for insulation voltage, cooling, signal integrity, and EMC considerations (table-top setups not acceptable)
• Proficiency in standard PCB design software packages
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python (NumPy), or similar numerical calculation tools
• Experience with SPICE-based simulation tools and function simulation tools such as PLECS, Simulink, etc.
• Proficiency in using digital oscilloscopes and other laboratory measurement equipment like spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, impedance analyzers, etc.
• Strong laboratory skills, ability to work independently, take initiative in project phases including design, construction, and testing of converter prototypes; fluent in English (both spoken and written)
