Lead Software Engineer

A renowned and successful startup in Stockholm is working with me in their search for a new Tech lead/principal software engineer, as they look to continually evolve their existing product & platform and continue to revolutionize the online retail space for small businesses through the power of AI!

Working in an integral role, you will be in close collaboration with the CEO, head of product and a super talented team of developers, ML & infra engineers, in a unique opportunity for a Senior software engineer to take ownership and drive the development of their product, be heavily involved in technical decision making and navigating the technical challenges that come with a fast-paced startup environment!

This is a permanent position, based out of the Stockholm HQ - hybrid - great remote flexibility but this person will ideally be local to the Stockholm area given the central nature of the position to the organisation (Please note, this company cannot support with Visa extensions/sponsorship at this time)

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development of new features & products, collaborating closely with the rest of the team
• (tech- and non-tech) to translate our vision into impactful and user-friendly solutions
• Develop scalable & maintainable mobile and web applications from ground up (front- & backend)
• Work on mobile/web application maintenance, troubleshooting, frontend/backend testing and ensuring
• integrations run smoothly, together with team across product, front- & backend developers
• Propose & implement best practices for better performance, code quality and security
• Setup processes with the rest of our engineers (code reviews, DevOps, documentation etc.)
• Scale and adjust products based on customer feedback
• Tech stack; Python, GCP, Typecript/Javascript, React

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer & tech lead
• Strong experience within product-led growth companies
• startup & scale-up experience
• Proven experience from early-stage start-up, consulting or similar
• Experience in Python, GCP, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, React
• Knowledge of database design and SQL
• Strong understanding of app- and web development principles and best practices
