Lead Data Engineer: AWS - SQL - Python - ETL - Trading - Renewable Energy

Our client is opera/ng as a market maker within the energy trading domain. The company focusses mainly on renewable energy sources, utilizing social demographic-, economic- and weather data to maintain a profitable trading strategy.

The data team is at the hearth of the company, as the trading strategies are based on the different data sources and the vital insights created by the team.

As a Data Lead, you will divide your time between leadership, architecture / translating business needs to technical solutions, and hands-on contribution to the team. In the current set-up you will have 2 direct reports, but you are expected to grow the team to 4 people in the next 6 months. As a data lead you own the data roadmap and will work towards more efficient pipelines and innovating the data landscape as a whole.

We are looking for a data lead who brings:

• At least 5 years of experience within the data domain working as data engineer.
• Strong communication skills.
• End-to-end experience with creating data solutions (data infrastructure, ETL pipelines, data analysis, predictive modeling / science).
• Strong experience with Python, SQL - Experience with AWS data infrastructure.
• Experience in trading, finance, or interest to embed yourself in this domain.
