We are seeking a talented Game Designer with expertise in mobile casual and hybrid puzzle games to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with renowned publishers such as Voodoo, Moonee, Supersonic, and Lion Studios. If you have a passion for designing engaging puzzle games, strong market research skills, and an understanding of hybrid mechanics, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop innovative casual and hybrid puzzle game concepts.
• Write comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDDs) to convey game mechanics, flow, and progression.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, player preferences, and opportunities in the puzzle game market.
• Collaborate with the team to prototype and refine game ideas, adhering to prototyping guidelines.
• Generate unique game ideas inspired by proven gameplay mechanics and market insights.
• Understand and implement strategies for uploading and launching games on app stores.
• Provide design input to ensure ads achieve low CPI (Cost Per Install) through engaging gameplay and marketing hooks.
• Work closely with product managers, artists, and developers to provide actionable feedback during scrums.
• Participate in product feedback cycles, ensuring alignment with market and player expectations.
• Stay up-to-date with puzzle market trends and hybrid game mechanics.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in mobile casual and hybrid puzzle game design.
• Prior experience working with publishers like Voodoo, Moonee, Supersonic, Lion Studios, etc.
• Exceptional ability to write clear and detailed Game Design Documents (GDDs).
• Strong understanding of the puzzle game market, including hybrid mechanics such as Jam Games.
• Excellent English communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with prototyping guidelines and ability to guide the team through iterative design processes.
• Knowledge of store submission processes for mobile games.
• Creativity to develop unique and engaging game concepts that resonate with players.
• Solid grasp of what makes an ad achieve low CPI through compelling gameplay hooks.
• Experience working in Scrum teams and providing constructive product feedback.
