Lead/Principal Data Scientist

Requirements:

MakeMyTrip-GoIbibo data science group is looking for seasoned data scientist expert for hotel ranking recommendation systems.

An ideal candidate would:

· Build, deploy & monitor state of the art DL and ML ranking search models, learning to rank algorithms, position and click debiasing strategies, multi-objective ranking boosting algorithms.

· Discuss with stakeholders (product and tech) at various stages of project, from data, to problem specifics, to A/B experimentation and model iterations.

· Mentor junior data scientists and software engineers.

· Own ranking platform, upgrade model infrastructure pipelines, qualitative and quantitative evaluation pipelines, and scalable APIs to meet 99% SLA at very high RPS, low latencies.

Desired Profile:

We seek individuals who are smart, highly proficient in DL/ML ranking/re-ranking, search charters, data/error/decision analyses, offline and online learning models, data centric ML, with strong math/statistics foundations, ability to lead and nurture data/modelling rigour in a data science team.

An ideal candidate would have following aspects:

· Excellent ML/DL depth and breadth. End to end experience of training and deploying deep learning models for ranking/search systems.

· Proficient in training tabular DL, sequential, GNN models.

· Proficient in training user, session, product/item representation learning.

· Aptitude to do complex SQL/python data analyses, error analyses, A/B metric evaluation, identify gaps between business and offline metrics.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, quarterly biz impact driven DS environment.

Qualifications:

· BE/BTech from Tier 1 colleges (IITs/ IIIT/ NITs)

· 5-10 years of entire work experience in DS/AI/ML; Atleast 3+ years experience in e-commerce B2C
