Job Title: DevSecOps Consultant

Location: Brussels

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Consultant to strengthen application security practices, establish secure development processes, and support integration with corporate security tools.

Key Responsibilities

Application Security Design

• Define application security functions, services, and architecture.
• Contribute to security aspects of solution designs.

Process Development and Support

• Develop processes and technical tools for secure development.
• Guide the organization in adopting and implementing DevSecOps practices.

Development Team Collaboration

• Ensure secure coding practices are followed in languages such as Java and .NET Core.

Security Tool Integration

Assist application teams in integrating security tools for:

• Logging and monitoring.
• Encryption in transit and at rest.
• Web application and database firewalls.
• Backup and disaster recovery testing.

Automated Security Testing

• Establish processes for automated security testing (SAST, DAST, IAST, etc.).
• Onboard applications to tools for identifying and handling vulnerabilities.

Vulnerability Management

• Coordinate the remediation of findings from:
• Application vulnerability screening.
• Dynamic security testing.
• Penetration testing.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background

• University degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science).

Professional Experience

• At least 5 years of IT experience, including 2 years in application security.
• Strong knowledge of application security concepts and integration with corporate security tools.
• Experience with security-related work in:
• Agile development.
• DevOps/DevSecOps environments.
• Cloud, microservices, and automation technologies.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in tools and technologies such as GitHub, SonarQube, etc.
• Hands-on experience in:
• Static Application Security Testing (SAST).
• Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
• Image and dependency scanning.
• Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST).
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and security tool implementations.
