Analytics Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to turning complex data into easy-to-understand insights. You love dealing with data both on a huge scale and at the level of fine detail, and you get a kick out of providing the insights and solutions that drive decision-making across the whole company. In this role you will

• Work with various teams to understand their needs and provide simple, effective solutions.
• Build small-scale data pipelines that process billions of events daily using data processing frameworks like dbt and BigQuery.
• Create solutions that are user-friendly and practical, not just technically impressive.
• Optimize data processing workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
• Connect with various teams, understand their processes, and help to improve those processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers and junior team members.
• Perform thorough data cleaning and validation, ensuring all edge cases are covered.
• Use Shiny and R to create interactive dashboards that clearly show key data insights and that can be used across the company.

What we’re looking for

• Experience and knowledge of how different teams use data.
• Ability to challenge peers and articulate ideas effectively.
• Proficiency in R and Shiny for building dashboards.
• Solid coding capabilities in R and SQL.
• Good understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Attention to detail and a QA mindset; always testing and validating data.
• Ability to connect with people and understand their needs.
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in the English language (both written and spoken).

Your experience

• Experience with data instrumentation and data collection, as well as the use of toolsfor analyzing data (e.g. R).
• 3+ years of experience in the data engineering field.

Compensation

Compensation will be constructed of a salary and an option to receive performance bonuses.
