Technical Lead

Role: Tech Lead

Location: Ålesund Region

We are looking for a strong Lead Unity developer to spearhead a diverse team of engineers in the journey of creating our high-end open-world simulation. The visual platform is a key technology driving our visualization for simulations and how we interact with the open world.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the team developing our graphics platform and our urban-planning decision-making tool which enables customers to interact with the open world.
2. Collaborate with the leadership team to set the direction of the product while helping push our technology to new places, pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
3. Contribute to our inclusive, transparent and open engineering culture, the team a fun place to work.
4. Mentor and coach the team when to grow as technical experts, you will work closely with the principal developers to provide the right guidance and training to the team, and you will be accountable for the success of the team.

This is you:

1. Bachelor or higher degree in technology, computer science or equivalent.
2. You have extensive experience (5+ Years) with programming languages like C#, C++, Java, Python
3. Proven experience leading diverse teams with the ability to mentor and develop technical talent, fostering peer accountability
4. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders when presenting technical plans and vision
5. Strong skills to set technical vision and direction for projects in an agile environment while making informed decisions to align with stakeholders
6. Full understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with the ability to understand and coordinate with different disciplines to have effective and timing processes

Bonus:

1. Experience developing real-time no latency, high-traffic systems (MMO or multi-projector projects)
2. Implementing observability patterns
3. Protobuf
