Business Analyst

Business Analyst - Abu Dhabi - 12 month contract - Onsite in Abu Dhabi

Our customer are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in testing to join their team. This role combines the ability to analyze business needs, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the quality of delivered solutions through effective testing strategies. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document specifications, and lead the execution of various testing activities.

Key Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst with hands-on experience in software testing.
• Strong understanding of both business analysis and software testing processes.
• Experience with test case creation, test execution, defect tracking, and test management tools (e.g., Jira etc).
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Analyze and understand business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements for the development team.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, user acceptance testing).
• Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of software solutions.
• Identify, document, and track defects in testing and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with the testing team to ensure thorough testing coverage across different platforms and environments.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Work with business stakeholders to review and validate test results, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and objectives.
• Facilitate and lead meetings to review test cases, track progress, and communicate testing results.
• Provide regular updates on testing status and issue resolution to relevant stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Contribute to the development and improvement of testing strategies and methodologies.
• Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in business analysis and software testing.
• Provide insights into potential process improvements and optimizations based on testing feedback.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, defects, and test results for audit and reference purposes.
• Assist in preparing reports on business analysis and testing efforts for management.
