Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst - Senior - REMOTE (Contract Position)

Roles and responsibilities:

Looking to hire a contractor specialized in business intelligence and analytics to temporarily enhance delivery levels by supporting a portfolio of work. The successful candidate must have experience in developing extract / transform / load scripts in PowerCenter’s Informatica and / or SAP’s BusinessObjects (from both a report development and universe modification point of view). Preference will be given to candidates with experience with both software packages.

The scope of work for this contract will be to perform the analysis and implementation of reporting and analytics solutions. Duties / deliverables include:

• Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand reporting requirements (whether new requirements or support for existing solutions)

• Working with the business intelligence governance team to confirm the solution pattern that will be applied to meet said reporting requirements

• Analyzing existing BusinessObjects data marts and modifying same, where necessary, to meet said reporting requirements

• Developing Extract, Transform, and Load scripts to populate any new data tables required

Must have skills:

Expert level of TL Informatica

1. Five (5) years' experience developing and delivering successful business intelligence and analytics solutions with one or more of the following technologies . . .

a. PowerCenter Informatica for creating or modifying exchange, transform, and load scripts

b. SAP BusinessObjects for creating and / or managing a data warehouse universe and creating or modifying reports

c. Data visualization experience with Microsoft Power BI software to create or modify dashboards

2. Five (5) years' experience in applying data modelling principles such as Kimball Dimensional Modelling

3. Five (5) years' experience in database technologies, database, and scripting such as Oracle or SQL Server

4. Two (2) years' experience mentoring other business intelligence and analytics developers

Desired Skills

1. SAP Ariba data knowledge

2. Data virtualization experience with the Denodo platform

3. Proven verbal and written communication skills demonstrating ability to work with various audiences
