Job Title: Network Consulting Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consulting Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on planning, designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced networking solutions for enterprise-level customers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wireless networks, systems integration, and modern network technologies while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Collaboration:
-Partner with customers to design, implement, and optimize networking solutions tailored to business needs.
-Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the successful deployment and integration of solutions.
-Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Technical Leadership:
-Take ownership of solution design, high-level and low-level design documentation, and implementation plans.
-Build and manage test environments to validate complex problems and compatibility issues.
-Develop and deliver customer-specific documentation, collateral, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Solution Delivery and Optimization:
-Lead the execution of delivery projects, ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
-Drive technology transitions and influence solution architectures.
-Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network products and solutions.
- Problem Resolution and Innovation:
-Act as a focal point for resolving complex customer issues across diverse technology domains.
-Leverage expertise to create reusable intellectual property, such as scripts and automation tools.
-Continuously improve methodologies and share knowledge with the wider team.
Key Expertise and Competencies:
- Expertise in wireless technologies, including:
- Advanced knowledge of Wireless LAN Controllers (e.g., 9800 WLC architecture).
- RF knowledge across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands.
- Experience with wireless endpoint integration, identity services (e.g., ISE), and location-based services.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking and embedded wireless controllers.
- Proven ability to work in dynamic environments under tight deadlines, with a global team of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant work experience in networking, wireless solutions, or IT infrastructure.
- Industry certifications are a plus, including:
- Equivalent experience to CCIE Wireless (preferred).
- CCNP Wireless, CCNP Routing & Switching.
- CWNP or similar certifications related to 802.11 networks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center for AP and WLC management.
- Knowledge of security-enabled WLANs, guest WLANs, and centralized web authentication.
- Familiarity with tools and practices related to software-defined access (SDA).
Job Scope:
- Collaborate with a wide range of technical professionals and stakeholders across the globe.
- Provide input and expertise for pre-sales engagements and solution demonstrations.
- Influence technology strategies and ensure resource optimization for customer success.
