IT Search has partnered with a global leader in IoT solutions as they continue to expand. Our client is transforming how businesses and individuals interact with the world through cutting-edge smart technologies. They are currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join their team and lead a group of talented engineers in shaping the future of connected solutions.

In this role, you'll manage a small team, stay hands-on with coding for around 30% of your time, and provide technical leadership. You'll oversee solution design, architecture, and cloud integration, while driving CI/CD practices and improving development workflows. Additionally, you'll focus on troubleshooting, peer reviews, and mentoring to support team growth and collaboration.

What you need:

• 6+ years of software development experience, with strong expertise in building scalable, distributed systems
• Proficiency in PHP and Laravel, with experience in other programming languages e.g. Python, TypeScript etc.
• Expertise in designing and maintaining automated CI/CD
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies, databases and caching systems
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide, motivate, and mentor teams to deliver high-quality solutions

The starting salary for this role is expected to be €100K, along with a bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is based in the Limerick office, with an ideal onsite presence of once or twice per week, though there may be some flexibility with this requirement.
