The Opportunity

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) , your role focuses on ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of critical systems while complying with industry standards such as PCI/DSS. You will be part of an international team within a market-leading company in the payment industry, leveraging diverse expertise to enhance system performance and security.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• System Reliability and Monitoring
• Design and implement monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proactively address and resolve system incidents to ensure minimal downtime.
• Conduct post-mortem analysis to prevent future incidents.
• Log aggregation and analysis
• Automation and Process Improvement
• Develop and implement automation scripts with Ansible to optimize operations.
• Cultivate GitOps practices to enhance deployment consistency and security.
• Cloud Infrastructure and Scalability
• Contribute to our Move 2 Cloud initiative, leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Use Terraform to manage infrastructure as code for cloud environments.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet system reliability goals.
• Communicate system status and updates effectively to stakeholders.
• Technical Direction
• Provide innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Stay up to date with emerging SRE trends and technologies.
  

Who Are We Looking For

• Educational Background
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Technical Expertise
• Experience in monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Proven track with background in cloud security
• Familiarity with Java programming is a plus
• Soft Skills
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Precise communication and team player capabilities.
• Certifications
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
