Engineering Project Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Project Specialist to join their CapEx/CAR-T project team in Bern, Switzerland. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance for annual CAPEX investment projects. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to advancing technical and safety standards within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee EHS aspects of annual CAPEX projects, including reviewing and approving work permits, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with on-site suppliers.
• Lead, perform, and approve EHS risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Provide expert advice on hazard identification, risk control measures, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive EHS initiatives, such as delivering Toolbox Talks and supporting the implementation of EHS systems like Good Saves and EHS CAPA CURVE.
• Coach and mentor department managers and team members to improve safety performance and foster a strong EHS culture.

Requirements:

• A degree in engineering or a related technical field, with professional safety qualifications preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of on-site construction experience, ideally within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Proven experience managing projects and implementing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO14001, ISO45001).
• Fluency in German and English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented individual with a passion for driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive safety culture.
