About the opportunity…
Are you passionate about crafting clean, maintainable code and developing innovative technical solutions? As a Software Engineer at ELMO, reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate closely with a talented team of Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to bring new features to life.
You'll play a pivotal role in understanding both functional and technical requirements, contributing to solution design, and delivering high-quality software solutions that adhere to industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and translate functional and technical specifications into technical solutions
- Contribute to technical solution design within the SCRUM team framework
- Develop well-architected, clean, and maintainable code
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core software products to ensure functionality and quality
- Participate actively in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Deploy new features and enhance existing tools as required
- Ensure compliance with ELMO's information security and privacy policies
Key Performance Indicators:
- Effective teamwork and contribution to project delivery
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, stable, and cost-effective infrastructure
- Understanding and implementation of project requirements
- Active participation in team ceremonies
What we would like you to bring to the team...
- Proven experience in OOP language with NodeJS, JavaScript / TypeScript, NestJS or similar technologies.
- Expertise in clean code, architecture and SOLID design principles.
- Proven experience in unit and functional tests, ideally with automation (CiCd) and code analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience in architecting and delivering solutions with micro-services, queues, serverless functions or similar patterns.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers, ideally AWS.
