Senior Engineering Manager UI

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a team of skilled engineers. Your leadership will be key in guiding them to achieve their full potential while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department.

You will be at the forefront of our engineering projects, overseeing them from conception through to completion. This involves planning, managing, and driving projects, creating project timelines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring that we meet deadlines and stay within budget.

This is a hybrid role – three days per week in our Cluj-Napoca office

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠:

•  Lead teams of engineers, ranging from graduate to senior, also contractors.
•  Develop your engineering managers and maintain Sage culture.
•  Hire staff level engineers for specific roles like performance and quality.
•  Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback.
•  Identify and measure indicators of team health and productivity.
•  Ensure rounded delivery including community participation and docs.
•  Implement disciplined engineering processes and defend them.
•  Set and measure progress against benchmark goals for speed and efficiency.
•  Represent your product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
•  Develop and evangelise great engineering and organisational practices.
•  Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
•  Be an active part of the leadership team, collaborating with other leaders.
