Department Overview

As a retail electricity provider of the Rakuten Group, Rakuten Energy provides “Rakuten Denki," an electricity service for general households, and "Rakuten Gas," a city gas service. Rakuten Energy is expanding services to become the No. 1 new electric power company by providing convenient and affordable experience close to its users. Energy Service Development Section is responsible for the end-to-end management from requirements definition to development, operation, and maintenance of our services. we aim to establish a new power platform with Rakuten Group's IT technology and big data.

Position Details

Job Summary

Lead the planning and promotion of projects in Energy Division and define system requirements.

Responsibilities

Gather business needs and define detailed requirements for system implementation

• Project management
  
  

Manage progress and quality as a project manager, ensuring successful project delivery

Oversee management of offshore development project in India

• Coordination and negotiation
  
  

Coordination and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders

• Planning and Proposal
  
  

Plan and propose development projects that maximize service value

Propose and implement innovative ideas for operational efficiency, automation and AI integration

Number of members in Energy Service Development Section: 20

There are a lot of mid-careers from outside the electricity industry and support from team member.

PHP/CakePHP/Laravel/Java/Spring Boot/Docker/Elasticsearch/Kibana/GCP

Mandatory Qualifications

• Experience of upstream process
• Experience in project management (Progress management, issue management, quality control)
• Business level of Japanese
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in project management of large-scale projects
• Industry knowledge of the electric power industry
• PMP
