We are now looking for enthusiastic and proactive

FLIGHT SIMULATOR ENGINEER

to maintain our state-of-the-art Full Flight Simulators. As a Simulator Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing sophisticated computer-controlled systems and networks, as well as flight simulator and training equipment maintenance including reporting and documentation. Operating support, technical assistance and safety briefings for our customers are also an important part of your job. Every day is different and varies from unexpected situations requiring quick action to more peaceful moments when you have the possibility to develop our ways of working.

As a Simulator Engineer, you will be part of our tightly intertwined Simulator Maintenance team. In this position you will report to Manager, Simulator Maintenance.

You might be the person we are looking for if you have a self-initiative way of working, desire to learn new things and interest in flying and aviation. As part of your induction, we will teach you to fly simulators and hope that you’ll maintain your flying skills while working.

Our Expectations

  • University of applied sciences education or suitable technical educational background
  • Relevant professional experience of information and communication technologies, networks, electronics, aircraft avionics and mechanics is considered as an advantage
  • Experience in different IT operating systems
  • Interest in flying simulator
  • Logical problem-solving skills
  • Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work successfully in three shifts and under pressure
  • Good written and spoken Finnish and English

Finnair Flight Academy is open for training 24/7. The compensation level for the position is F (CLA 05 FT, Technical).
