The Team

Dr. Gabriele Zirpoli, founder and CEO of ScienceLife, is a visionary leader with a passion for science, technology and innovation. Born and raised in Italy, Gabriele's thirst for knowledge took him abroad to pursue higher education. He now holds a PhD in Chemistry from ETH, one of the world's leading technical universities. In addition to his strong scientific background, Gabriele also has a deep understanding of programming and web development, making him a well-rounded individual with a unique perspective. Gabriele strives to take ScienceLife to new heights and drive meaningful change in the world of science.

Dr. Leonidas Emmanouilidis is a highly educated and accomplished scientist who brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to his role as a scientific advisor. Born and raised in Greece, Leonidas has always had a love for learning and discovery. He is now pursuing post-doctoral research in the field of biology at ETH. With his combination of scientific expertise and a keen eye for innovation, Leonidas is a valuable resource for any organization looking to stay at the forefront of scientific developments. Whether working on cutting-edge research projects or advising on financial strategy, Leonidas brings a unique perspective and deep understanding to every challenge he faces.

Opportunity

We are looking for a technical cofounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend programming and a deep understanding of blockchain/NFT technologies. This is an equity-based position, with the opportunity to have a significant impact on the success of the company. If you are a self-starter with a proven track record in backend development and are looking to be a part of a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to design and develop the backend of our product
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Work closely with the founders to define the product vision and strategy
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development efficiency

You Must

• Be driven and passionate about ScienceLife's mission and vision.
• Be a self-starter and a team-player.
• Take ownership and operate with first principles thinking.
• Have excellent relationship management and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Have a strong customer-centric mindset.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Node.js and backend programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, C#)
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Strong experience in and knowledge of blockchain/NFT technologies
• Familiarity with Azure's cloud platform.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
