Senior Frontend Engineer

What is the role about?

We are looking for a passionate and self-driven Senior Frontend Engineer to develop secure, scalable and user-friendly applications for Bitvavo. You'll build upon our platform's existing functionality and play a key role in creating innovative solutions that improve our users' interactions with digital assets. In this role, your creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical know-how will be essential in driving our product's development.

How will you make an impact?

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving cross-domain initiatives and generating innovative ideas to enhance the overall platform. Your primary responsibilities will include setting and upholding development standards, maintaining and evolving the front-end architecture, and improving key performance metrics. Collaborating closely with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and other Frontend Engineers, you will ensure a scalable and maintainable architecture that supports long-term growth.

In addition to these core duties, you will actively participate in code reviews, contribute to the selection and adoption of new technologies, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and delightful user experience. Your expertise in front-end development, and UI/UX best practices will play a crucial role in fostering a user-centric approach.

How will you be successful?

• 6+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in React, Redux, Jest, TypeScript, and CSS
• Experience with side-effect management libraries such Redux-Saga
• Previous experience with testing frameworks like Jest and automation testing tools such as Playwright and Cypress
• Familiarity with React Native and/or mobile development, understanding complex flows and a good grasp of WebSockets would be highly beneficial
• Strong interest and passion for delivering high-quality code in fast-paced environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record and genuine interest in mentoring and fostering the growth of teammates
