Join us in Oslo, Drammen, or Sandefjord. You will join our Analytics team, where you will be responsible for developing and maintaining components within an event sourcing infrastructure to manage data flow and modeling. Read on to find out more and apply.

What you’ll do as Senior Backend Software Engineer:

In addition to producing clean, effective, and testable code:

• Drive the technology in the right direction, align with other teams and external consultants
• Work in a cross-functional team together with other Developers, UX Designers and a Product Owner to define and build the best HR Analytics platform
• Be a mentor in established good architectural patterns
• Create maintainable, testable, secure and performant code

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience
• Good experience with Java development with the use of Spring Boot or similar framework
• Proven solid working experience with Event Sourcing. Including reactive streams and/or experience with EventstoreDB, Kafka, or similar
• Good understanding of Graph databases. Ex. Neo4j (with Lucene) and/or with time dimension
• Experience with graphQL

Nice to have or can be learned:

Experience with

• database technologies, like SQL and MongoDB, in addition to Graph database (Neo4j)
• modern CI/CD practices and “shift-left” approaches
• Security Architectural patterns

Knowledge of

• containerized services, including Docker / Kubernetes
• Azure or similar cloud platform

A typical day in the role

You will work in a team with highly skilled members of different capabilities. In addition to our internal workers, we collaborate with external experts who contribute to our implementation of an industry-leading technology for Event Sourcing infrastructure and Data Warehouse design.

As we work at several locations, we often meet on Teams. For daily standups or whenever we need or want. Everyone is helping where it is needed with solutions and knowledge. Our colleagues from our offices in India also visit the Norwegian offices on a regular basis.
